edit May 23: Test results: Upon initial testing both the 60 watt and the 72 watt are performing as advertised. The phones charged too quickly to judge if the output is sustained over time. Long term durability unknown.

60 watt with only a drained laptop connected draws 63 watts on the primary Adding a drained 37 watt rated PPS Pixel Pro 9 XL increased the load to 68 watts The Pixel by itself: 35-42 watts primary load. Two PPS phones: 60 watt load on the primary.

72: watt: 12 watt lamp on the A port + laptop + phone= 70 watt load on the primary.
---

People are finally beginning to pay attention to the amps at specific charging voltages which are supported by the device as well as the emarked cable required. Note that this OtterBox supports 21V PPS required for 37 watt rate on Pixel Prp 9 XL. Possibly no proprietary charger is required for the Motorola. Kane91801 posted on Reddit that an emarked 6.5 amp cable is required and must be used with a PD PPS ac adapter power supply capable of 11 volts @ 6.2A :

"To charge at 68W. This charges at 11V / 6.2A. The ps might be capable of 55W or 11V 5A but this phone doesn't support 11V@5A.

This should clear up the common misconception that a 60 watt capable ps will charge 68 watt capable phone at 60 watts. No. The Moto can only utilize the OtterBox 15V@3A output 45 watts.

Here are this Moto's supported inputs

Standard: 5V / 3A (15W)

TurboPowerTM: 9V / 3A (27W)

TurboPowerTM: 15V / 3A (45W)

TurboPowerTM: 20V / 3.4A (68W)

TurboPowerTM: 11V / 6.2A (68W)

The OtterBox I got from the last deal, it only charges around 24 Watts at Max on my Motorola think phone. it advertises 60 watts single item charging power, My motorolla thinkphone supports up to 68 Watts on its own proprietary charger, it turns out you need this proprietary charger to reach those speeds. So the answer to your question does somewhat depend on whether your phone will support the highest method speed of charge

Yep, in for 3. Finally going Android, and that OnePlus 13R can charge at 55w. (And 80w if I buy some proprietary bullcrap, no thanks)

That second image is so misleading. There's no way it's that tiny.

That's pretty typical. I have OnePlus phone and the only fast charging I get is from it's original charger. Not really OtterBox fault.

oneplus phones are so picky about the charger. I have a mix of OEM and oppo chargers and my 12 seems to charger differently with each one... either way, still way faster than trickle charging a $1300 iphone LMAO

Possibly maybe hopefully. The physical type C ports do not provide a satisfying snap in on the 72 watt like you find on devices with forged steel ports, The plastic swivel on the prongs is also light duty. O.K. for the price I suppose if it lasts a year.
