And the name is stupid.


Its litteraly just a really big iphone. Looks almost comical.

No word on price yet.

The part that kills me is no USB port. WTF.

I can see the Apple zealots getting this, but otherwise, I would not ever use this. Honestly, if I had an iPod or iPhone (I actually have the Moto Droid because I have Verizon) I would prefer using them, as they are the same, just smaller.

So it's really a big iPod Touch that has 3G and can compete with the kindle and a laptop. Maybe it's just me but I'll continue to play tunes off my cell phone, tote around my much cheaper and vastly more functional laptop and a softback book if I care to read anything...

As im waching videos I think it MIGHT be a purchase later on, Even though its not a laptop it still does alot of the things I spend most of my time doing but for only $500

I know that I won't need the 64GB version so that price hike is meaningless to me. Movies are only about 0.5GB and TV Shows and books\magazines are much smaller. I wouldn't keep music on it because I'll still have to carry my iPhone for obvious reasons, so music could stay on that. I would go for the 16GB model maybe the 32GB model if I was anticipating different storage for the future. When compared to the Kindle DX, $499\$599 isn't bad at all.
