I think its kind of ugly 
And the name is stupid.
Its litteraly just a really big iphone. Looks almost comical.

The fact is..this isn't a primary music device. And you've obviously never used Pandora then.
Have you used an iPhone before?
You should definitely try one out or an iPod Touch because then you'll maybe understand the frustrations of users everywhere. It was somewhat acceptable on an iPhone/iPod Touch, but when you're dealing with a 10inch tablet, it is completely unacceptable because it's not going to have the same primary reasons.
my wife has an iphone... one of the earlier versions. definitely has its drawbacks (although my main issue is the monthly bill from att). if the capacity for the ipad really is that of the iphone, then it's poor execution. the iphone is good for what it does. it is a phone that you can play music with, watch videos on, get directions, etc. but if this machine doesn't do anything more than that, yeah, it is pointless.
however, if it does do more, and developers create cool apps for it, why wouldn't it sell? one of the main gripes with the ipod touch is that no one wants to watch a movie on such a small screen. ipad solves that.
again, this isn't for tech geeks and it doesn't replace the macbook or any other laptop. but i'll reserve judgment for a little while, as i do with any new product.
i'm not sure anyone should take anything you say seriously if that's the case.

HDMI out, SD slot, USB port, camera, open (or more open) OS, flash, and multi-tasking, for starters.
