Can't hang the MacBook on my steering wheel and watch Netflix while I'm in line waiting to pick up my kid from school.
I've had an IPP since launch day, and an iPad since launch day. The value is the difference between a bathtub and a swimming pool.

Let's be honest here and ignore the complete obvious. Unless you play games, there is zero reason to replace your 15 year old device used for mere web browsing, food order apps, basic office tasks, email, etc. So Apple had to come up with a reason for you to part with $1200 every 2 years: iOS updates that slow down your iPad. Until they got caught with batterygate, the fanboys denied. It's not as bad these days cause they got caught, but it's still very noticeable. Your device gets laggy, spotty wifi, typing is laggy, after a forced iOS update.
My 10 year old pc still works fantastically for web browsing and office. Zero reason why phones should be different. Android don't do this.
I got a Pro M2, there was so much hype around the M processors being power and being able to run advanced demanding laptop software, games, etc. Fast forward 2 years and it does nothing a basic iPad A chip can do. No special AAA games, hell PUBG runs the same as it did on my old A13x processor as it does on the M2. Absolute waste of time and money, iOS is a huge limiting factor.
For the money, get a MacBook Air. It will do so much more than an iPad Pro, run big boy software and many AAA games.
If you need portability, spend $300-$400 and get a basic iPad, it will do pretty much anything the Pro model can. Only exception I have seen is with someone drawling art on an iPad.

What, you're not sure what you are going to do with that amount of ram on an IPad? This really isn't the deal for you. It's only a deal for those who know what they are getting with plans to take advantage of it.
