At this point I'm more worried about murica.
Our own govt is more of a threat than the Chinese at this point. I'd be far more worried about the US govt having backdoors to our files.
These were $499.99 less $100.00 = $399.99 a few months ago so this is $50 lower.

I was somehow able to get these for about $300 on a flash sale a few weeks ago. It's been fantastic ever since. Won't have to buy a new router systems for many years as long as they hold up. Plenty of customization too if you're savvy.

Instacart and PayPal shenanigans brings this to $304 for me. $18 service fee plus $18 more expensive than Costco

Are these better than an eero mesh system?

My eero is a wifi 6 mesh system but we only get 200 mbps wifi on a 1 gig connection. We can only get 1 gig when hardwired straight to the modem!

TP Link is alleged to have a backdoor for the Chinese Government to access your files. Buyer beware.

I heard they have built-in backdoor in these devices that you can order goods from China TARIFF FREE, FREE SHIPPING too.

I bought these at $500 maybe 6 months ago and I don't regret it at all. Fantastic mesh system with wifi and CAT6 backhaul. My wifi is so fast everywhere it's great. Using it with Wifi6 and Wifi6E system.
I'm using them without wired backhaul in AP mode and am maxing out my 1 gig fiber connection plugged into a node which is pretty impressive.

Brings price down to $232 + tax/fees using Paypal $100 cashback and Discover 5%. Amazing price. I bought it a couple weeks ago and will get price adjusted. If you bought through Instacart the purchase receipt will be there in your Costco.com account.

If you're really that afraid of the Chinese then use them in AP mode with a different router.

So many people here act like they are some kind of big shot illegal drug or arms dealer who have tons of incriminating evidence on their computer. Or that they are some kind of nuclear arms researcher who for some reason has top secret info on their personal devices. Odds are the US gov, Chinese gov, or any other gov does not gave a single sh!t about anything on your computer because you are no one of consequence.

You're right the Chinese don't care about our computers and the US govt don't either unless you are a serious criminal. We are still pretty far off from the US govt going after "the enemy within" or people who criticize the govt, and the state of things would need to disintegrate exponentially for us to get to that point.
