Our own govt is more of a threat than the Chinese at this point. I'd be far more worried about the US govt having backdoors to our files.

These were $499.99 less $100.00 = $399.99 a few months ago so this is $50 lower.

Does Costco do a price protection? I bought this two weeks ago for 399
Yes they will credit you the difference if the price goes lower within 30 days of purchase.

Great routers... When I first installed them the internet dropped several times within the first 12hrs because of firmware updates and Chinese spies. After that it was all good.

Are these better than an eero mesh system? My eero is a wifi 6 mesh system but we only get 200 mbps wifi on a 1 gig connection. We can only get 1 gig when hardwired straight to the modem!
I had the eero 6 pro. About the same speed as you. I've upgraded to TP-Link deco 6E system and was about to get close to the 1gbps so I'm assuming this shouldn't have any issues getting that speed on wifi.

If you're really that afraid of the Chinese then use them in AP mode with a different router.
He's scared. He thinks the Chinese government is going to be stealing his data, trying to assess how he's part of the Americans that are in big debt and constantly encouraged to spend beyond their limits.

How do these compare to the Nest Wifi Pros?

No comparison. The nest wifi pros are utter and complete trash. You'd think Google has a great product and solution for fast wifi but nooooooooo.

Get these and you'll be happy

So many people here act like they are some kind of big shot illegal drug or arms dealer who have tons of incriminating evidence on their computer. Or that they are some kind of nuclear arms researcher who for some reason has top secret info on their personal devices. Odds are the US gov, Chinese gov, or any other gov does not gave a single sh!t about anything on your computer because you are no one of consequence.
Yeah if anything the chinese want are what nerdy, frugal men making less than $150k a year are buying!

I was somehow able to get these for about $300 on a flash sale a few weeks ago. It's been fantastic ever since. Won't have to buy a new router systems for many years as long as they hold up. Plenty of customization too if you're savvy.
A flash sale on which site?

I should have mentioned that you'd pay sales tax on the $420 price. And I'm not sure if you get 20% cash back on the amount with or without sales tax.
