Why do you say they can't be sharpened? I've sharpened plenty of DeWalt chains before with success.

I wouldnt recommend anyone to buy these. They are super cheap crap chains that cant be sharpened so basically use it until its dull and throw it away. These should be reusable not disposable

Hmmm, should I buy this even though I don't have the chainsaw or even need a chainsaw? Once again I'm faced with the recurring dilemma of DeWalt Slickdealers.

I used to buy Oregon chains. However, recently I've discovered off brand chains on Amazon that work out to be $5 or less, for a variety of sizes up to 18 inch, that work just as good. This deal is good, but at normal price, the off brand ones are generally a better deal. They stay sharp for just as long as the other chains.

thanks gonna give these a try. at this price, not worth my time to sharpen them! my wife loves her 16" EGO chainsaw, but I have no idea what she is doing to those chains! She might be using it to cut rocks...

Yeah, if you look up other listings, the reviews say for the price they're great, not worth sharpening, just toss and replace. I just did some searching and found a new listing where you got a fifth chain for same or better price as other listings. I cut about a cord of white pine with one last weekend, it worked fine imo.

Oregon chains are much better than the Dewalt chains.

Bought this brand - Saturday delivery. This Sunday, one chain gets a test. I'll report back here.
