Outdoors does tend to do a number on all balls though, think of the surface you're playing on as a grit of sand paper. The more course the surface is the faster it will rip through your shoes/balls. The spaulding one i recommended made it through an entire summer of extreme use for me though playing on an outdoor court. It's still alive with no holes or damage it's just worn out.
