Not sure why I thought this, but wasn't aware you actually had to own the games to play them… figured this was more like Xbox game pass.
Wait why did they make it only 100 hours per month? That's new.

What speed internet do you have?

Gigabit fiber now, but I had like 150 combat garbage and it still worked fine. Beat all three dark souls games on it while watching my infant daughter while she slept.

Not sure if this helps you, but you are able to play this with games from Xbox gamepass that you technically don't own. You'll just need an active subscription to both

Oh, I wasn't aware of that? Is there a setting in GeForce that I need to change? I have game pass for Xbox and the pc version.

You sync it to your Xbox account just like you do for Steam.

They price the 5099 at 3000 so you're forced into their subscription service I guess

yes, but you need to have the game on your account. You will add your steam, epic, etc... and let that sync.

It's like playing with Netflix, the first 2 seconds while buffering it might be blurry but then it's going to rock!

I don't know if they removed the requirement that you need an nvidia hardware (even if old and crappy) or not.

I also use it in Linux, and I have no nvidia hardware, so that requirement might just be for windows.

I almost exclusively use a Google Streamer in the bedroom and the Geforce Now app in a Samsung S90D in the living room. I think there is a 60fps cap on the streams with these, but it's otherwise an excellent experience.

I used to exclusively use Gamepass, but I recently noticed the visuals are significantly better while playing Gamepass games using Geforce Now, and the experience is overall better. I believe it's due to Geforce Now using the PC version of the games, while the Gamepass app is probably using the console versions.

They changed it a few months ago, iirc it was to prevent some sort of abuse of the service. Fwiw unless you're unemployed it'd be pretty tough to hit that playtime cap, you could play a 3 hour session literally every day in a 30 day span and still have 10 hours leftover lol. IMO if you're spending that much time gaming then that you'd be better off saving your money to buy a dedicated rig to have a better experience for all those hours gaming.
For sure gonna take a while to save at a rate of $49.99 every 6 months. In 3 years I can save enough for a modest video card.

As I mentioned I was playing regularly on a basic Chromebook. Also, I used an Ace Magic mini-PC and an old PC with Windows 10. None of these had much RAM and no dedicated graphics card. I was mostly playing Diablo IV then which I had purchased on Battle.net so I had to sync with them just as I did with Steam. Honestly, I was amazed with the graphics, sound, etc. on these devices. But, now I have a decent gaming PC and I am using that vs GeForce Now.
