be careful with these CAP plates. I bought a pair of 45's last year, the center holes were too large and oblong. the plates would wobble and rotate oddly while lifting. the paint and finish were very bad and there were minor chips and dings. the cosmetic issues were no big deal to me though.
i actually returned them as they were dangerous while lifting

Isn't that something that's easily solved using clips to secure the weights?

Some people really hate using collars, citing it as a safety concern because it prevents them from bailing while bench pressing by tipping the bar left and right to dump the plates onto the floor.

Instead of just using a rack with safeties.

If you use them on something like a curl bar, the clips won't help the imbalance the wobble causes. That said I ordered caps 45lb cast iron plates and didn't have that issue.
