I was also tempted to try ordering one from Verizon but from all possible products you could possibly get for free due to vendor's error, a cellphone attached or semi-atached to an order that included your full name; address and SSN should probably be the last of your choices. Not to say manufacturers and cellphone networks have capability of blacklisting a phone's IMEI but I doubt Verizon will be doing that
If you do confirm with any carrier that their nothing owed on the device it will not go back to an amount owed. At that point cancelling the account would dissociate you from any responsibilities other than paying the final bill.

I added new line in my account so i can pay off device and cancel in 3 days . But when i checked my bill , verizon giving $15 credit on bill for 36 months , no trade-in and there was offer for $20 for 12 months so each month my bill will be 11.99 and no activation charges . I decided to keep keep using the line as i am paying $12/month for phone and getting line for free for 1 year. Once $20 credit ends , i will cancel the line .

I would suggest before you cancel the line , please check for these promos.
Good luck
When Can you unlock the device with Verizon????

Has anyone experienced washed out colors with their ultra devices/screens? Today was the first day I spent some time considerable time and noticed the issue remains no matter if you change from normal to vivid screen mode, very noticeable compared to other previous samsung devices I have. Looked up the issue and apparently lots of people were complaining about this problem last year

I took advantage of this ATT deal a few days ago. If I wanted to buy a 2nd phone through this deal, do I have to use a different household name, different email and different credit card?

I believed this is due to anti reflective coating but then again that's the quoting which kept my s24 ultra screen without any micro scratches through an year of use without any case/screen protector. There is also an update which fixed some of the screen options so you should make sure you have all and I think there is slider under vividness for you to control the intensity.

how long is it taking everyone to be able to put in the unlock request after paying it off with ATT? I've waited 24 hours and it still says I need to pay it off.

Its annoying. Even though I subscribed myself to shipping and tracking notifications, I am still checking it manually every hour or so. Lol.

Been waiting a while for a good deal on the S24U to pull the trigger, mainly for the camera (upgrading from Pixel 6A). I was a bit nervous about going through this whole process, but success story here!

6/3 2:30PM: Placed order (AT&T)
6/4 1:30PM: Received phone (no free phone for me 😥)
6/4 3:00PM: Paid off
6/4 11:00PM: Unlocked via SIM swap (made sure to complete all updates first)
6/5 7:30AM: Cancelled via chat (weirdly, the agent said there was a second number/line reserved on the account that was not activated). I took screenshots of the convo, but got an e-mail immediately after indicating that the phone number was no longer associated with my user ID.
