For those who got the $35 activation fee reversed from ATT, will we get an updated bill showing the activation fee removed? And will the crazy taxes, surcharges, and regulatory fees be lowered after the activation fee removed from the bill? They charged me $16.33 on $8 service fees.
I don't think those will go down when activation fee is voided. It's all the cell tower related fees that they are slapping on for no good reason.

If you didn't get a sim, how did you activate the phone?
I'm confused. How long do you need to wait before can pay off phone at Verizon store: As soon as receive, 3 days, 14 days, 30 days.
That clause you posted says "pay off the device's total price any time.*
An upgrade fee applies."
What is the upgrade fee?
It can be activated with eSIM so you connect to wifi and it downloads eSIM for verizon and activates the phone. You can pay off at a verizon right after getting the phone activated. Upgrade fee is perhaps fee for device upgrade which should be 0 here.

You will need to cancel the line within 3 days from activation to get back activation fee and pay prorated charges for those days

Also if activation does not work and if verizon says they can't find your account then you might have gotten a free phone. You will then need to open a new post paid line and activate the phone on it. If you did get email from Verizon about account setup etc they would have activated line for you for sure.

I prefer port-out because the line would be canceled immediately the port-out goes through. I've encountered situations where using online chat or a customer service rep, the cancelation date was set at the end of billing period.

im looking for a number to port into metro

People here are reporting that Verizon bill (even after they paid off phone and cancelled) is around $115. Did you go the Verizon route? If yes, what was your final bill?

Many did verizon too, the process is the same but there is no way to get rid of activation fee instantly hence you do have the cancel within 3 days of account creation (which will happen before phone is shipped). Also there is no way to instantly unlock it so you will have to wait for 60 days after activating it on verizon post paid plan.
Yes, $35 wouldn't be too bad, but people here are reporting bills of $115 even though they paid off phones and canceled early.

I have not done this deal, but in the past similar deal with verizon I ended up paying $10. They might/will send you a bill and you have to chat with them to get things credited.

I cancelled my account on the same day of receiving, activating, and paid off the phone. I chatted with the CSR and used the buyer's remorse policy to remove any fees. Hopefully I don't have any fees. I did receive an email stating that my bill was ready and to access the my Verizon website. However I can't login to the website anymore because it states that they don't recognize my email address. Also in the same email, it states my bill credit balance is 0.

Did they cancel the activation fee and the $75 charge that people are reporting when you were chatting with CSR? Also, how quickly did you receive the phone from WM? And, did you go to Verizon store to payoff phone? Some here are reporting that store is giving them a hard time to payoff phone.
