Got my s24 ultra delivered today. Activated on the device and made a full payment online.
After waiting for an hour, tried sim swap method and could not unlock. Maybe payment information has not been updated on unlock portal yet. But the problem is today is the 3rd day. I will try tomorrow again but will I be able to get the full refund? On my at&t app, I cannot see activation fees yet, so cannot click on don't recognize this charge.
Yeah the link will come with your bill so when you see the bill click on the link on app/browser to get the instant void even after 3 days.

DP (Verizon Route)
  1. Purchased S24U on 06/04, got on the 75$ plan, paid $39.42
  2. Received & Activated on 06/06
  3. Paid off in store on 06/07, $432 exact. Didn't let me pay if off at first, but let me after talking with the manager. Overall smooth experience
  4. Cancelled through customer chat on 06/08. No Activation fee, charged ~11.xx for prorated usage.
Conclusion, $482 + 15$ gelato fee (why would any1 opens ice cream shop beside a Verizion store?) + 2h of time.
Cheapest new option on Craiglist is ~700$. I'd say its a good deal. 8/10
Do you know if I have to have received the phone and activated before I can go to the store and pay it off? My phone will arrive Wed according to the tracking but I wonder if I can go tomorrow and pay it off. I already opened the Verizon account and the phone is showing under the account with a new phone number.

No clue, I'd rather activate then pay it off, otherwise it feels too suspicious

I did. It showed my other phone on the ATT account portal before I tried to unlock it. Not sure if I did something wrong here, but I guess now I'm stuck a the 60 days waiting time.
You chose non ATT customer when you requested unlock code crom website?

Quick update, after my first call on 6/7, they did not approve the activation fee waiver and actually removed the prorated credit on the account, leaving me with a full first month bill. Another call into CS today got my full bill credited, I now have a small credit balance of $2.36. The rep today sounded more sympathetic to my reason for termination and put the request in to get the bill credited. Seems like these credits need some escalated approval so you can never get it fully resolved on the call itself. I checked my balance online 5 hours later and the credits showed up.
What was the reason that you gave?

Sounds like a bad idea if for some reason the phone never arrives.

I was able to unlock my S24 ultra using the sim swap method. I guess when i did it last night, unlock device portal did not had my updated information. This morning, I was waiting for myatt app to show that I am using different phone but that never happened. Web was showing that I am using that number on unlocked phone so took a leap of faith and tried it. it went smoothly, and I was able to unlock in 15mins
After that I tried to upgrade to S24 plus but I am not able to upgrade. Walmart page is saying I need to go to walmart store to get it upgraded.

After paying the device and unlocking, what is the best way to get another phone?
Should I add a new line or upgrade my line?

Welp I'm probably the only one in this situation, Ontrac just told me that they don't have the package and that I need to contact Walmart for a refund. Walmart then canceled my order and they don't have the same offer anymore ... fark Ontrac.

Looks like the only option for both models now is Verizon. I kind of got lost track with most people ordering from Verizon, did most people who were reporting getting a "free" phone end up getting a bill for it? Also I assume Verizon fixed things on their end by now

Why is Verizon the only option? Multiple stores near me have ATT s24u and s24+ in stock. im sure Walmart locations elsewhere have inventory as well. I literally walked in to Walmart today, set up a new ATT acct and walked out with a s24u @ $12/mo, $0 down, only paid $29 sales tax.

Hey everyone, I picked up the AT&T S24 Ultra (model SM-S928U) and got it unlocked through simswap. Now I'm looking to flash the stock unlocked firmware to get rid of the carrier apps and boot animation changes.
For anyone who has the same model (SM-S928U), can you post the link for firmware here please, I don't wanna flash a wrong one,

Verizon did end up linking my DPP to my phone about a week later. Was not in fact free.
