I bought Att S24+, unlocked it, and canceled service in 10 days. I was having issues sending and receiving mms. So my friend put his t-mobile sim on my unlocked phone and my Verizon prepaid mvno sim on his phone. We were both able to send and receive mms.
Now, when restarting I get irritating t-mobile logo instead of ATT(still can't get and send mms 😔). Is flashing only option to get rid of t-mobile logo?

Put your Verizon prepaid SIM in your phone and restart, do you see the following under the APN settings?

Code:
MMSC: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms
If no, edit it to the above.

For people with Chase cards, check them. The CB resets on all my cards on their new billing cycle. Another round of free phone. Not too shabby.

Somehow I don't have any ATT offer on my chase cards.

I was billed $57 last month for the activation fee plus 4 days of service and taxes and regulatory fees. Got my final bill today. Everything was removed but ATT charged me $8.00 late fee, having a new bill balance for $8.48. Chatted with a rep and explained to her that I had been advised not to make a payment and waited for the July bill to show all the adjustments and credits to be reflected on the final bill. She quickly removed the late fee after consulting with her supervisor. She assured my account is now $0.00. I think I am all set now.
That's the risk with credit on next bill but I am glad everything worked out at the end.

since Samsung S24 Ultra has 2 different sim slot--1 physical nano-sim and 1 esim. So you were asking Verizon to unlock esim slot by providing 2nd IMEI number, right? Does that mean that you can only use esim card for other network? or once Verizon unlocks your phone, you can use physical nano-sim slot with other network?

Thanks for your quick reply. I notice that you cancelled the service on 20th(Friday), requested unlock on 23rd(Monday), any reason you wait for a whole weekend? or just because the number that pops up for different sim only work Monday to Friday?

Question: I have an S20 FE that's on a AT&T prepaid plan. Do I just request a new line or upgrade?

The main goal for most of us in this deal is to unlock the phones before cancelling the service line. I did the same. The challenge is how to get all the fees waived after cancelling. I also took advantage of Chase Offers but only once for $75. I heard other people can have multiple offers applied to paying off the phone though.

No, this is for ATT postpaid so you will have to open a new account, pay off and cancel.
