I've gotten used or boxed opened items of Ego that were a good deal. I would not pay full price for their product. Generally all their stuff is expensive compared to other brands. You may find good combo deals once in awhile.
Ego sells an LED spotlight for $200 and a box fan for $300, this isn't even close to their most egregious price gouging lol
I paid $100 and $129 for their 10,000 lumens light and $175 each for 2 of their fans ($200 off $500 deal) and no complaints on these. I paid $129 for the DeWalt corded Stealthsonic 9 gal vacuum and I have been very happy with how quiet it is. Cordless does have a place and it comes down to individual needs. I have to check the Ego version in person to see how quiet it is and perhaps a deeper discount may win me over but not at $250.
We went all EGO lawn tools a few years ago and deeply regret it. Batteries failed after 1-3 years and they are not cheap to replace. Warranty and customer service are garbage. Never again.
We took good care of these batteries also. I always moved them inside the house when it's summer and kept them at about 40-50% charge for long term storage and set up a monthly charging/discharging cycle.

It's a cordless vacuum with a remote control and cyclic filter cleaning. That may not be a feature set that appeals to you compared to a regular corded big box vac (it doesn't to me) but compared to the similarly featured competition it's not a bad price. God help y'all if you see the price of dust extractors, especially the remote controlled ones.
