I'm not sure who actually manufactures this dryer, but the SH02 is also sold as the Comgrow SH02.

I wanted a dual spool active dryer that I could print from and can get to at least 70C to effectively dry PETG, TPU, ASA, etc... From my cursory research, the 2 dryers that meet those needs and that are around a reasonable pricepoint are the SH02 and the CREALITY Space Pi. I would've been fine with either, but I pulled the trigger on this timely deal.

You can also S&S at Amazon and get it for $62 free shipping (Prime). In case you want one every month or to get a hassle free return if you don't like it. Branded Comgrow and gets 4.5 stars - https://a.co/d/bWVhhSh

This is cheaper than the Creality Pi Plus and from the reviews appears to work a tad better. Thanks OP, in for one

I would only buy this as a ready-made solution if I were going to print directly from the dryer.
A modified food dehydrator holds 5 spools and is cheaper. Just make sure it gets between 50-70C

Print an adaptor and use it as an external spool.

for manually fed spools, that's how i use my Sunlu S4. i use it for things that i can't feed through the AMS reliably and for general spool holding when i'm moving things around in the AMS. printed a stand i heavily modified for it (with drawers and whatnot), now it sits right next to my X1C at almost the same height.

side note: i tried several printable "Y" feeders, but had issues with all of them and the AMS feeding reliably through them... so i gave up and just bought the BambuLabs block in one of my orders.

another side note: i've never once in years of printing found it necessary to dry any of my spools... i live in NY, so perhaps it's just my climate, but i also store all of my spools in vacuum bags when not in use and anything i'm currently using is in the AMS (with lots of desiccant beads) or in the Sunlu S4.

Your ideas are intriguing, which one and how do you mod it?

I would stay away from the Creality one. Although it works, the buttons are really hard to press.

If you have an air fryer, you can also use that to dry your filament if the temp can go low enough.

problem with alot of these dryers is that they dont vent the humid air during the process. unless you open it several times, the air inside becomes saturated if the spool actually needs drying
Ive seen a few pricey models that vent but nothing around this price range. hard to tell from the pictures if this one does

Maybe this means you could put a one way vent valve on it? This is in the product comparison section: "External air pipe connection suitable for various applications"
