A TV upgrade would be much more beneficial. Save this money and put it towards an OLED. That will be an absolute game changer for you. The PS5 Pro is such a small upgrade. I say that as a huge PS5 fan, who really wanted a Pro, until I saw it in action. I can't justify spending hundreds more for a little better version of something I'm already very happy with.
Just remember the PS5 Pro doesn't come with the disc drive.

They can be had fairly easily now though at or below MSRP after the scalping fiasco last year, but you will be adding $70-$90 on top of this price.
You can basically play games in graphics mode with a better framerate instead of using performance. So if that sounds worth it to you, then go for it. If I didn't have a PS5, I would consider the pro, because I have the money, so it's no big deal for me. Everyone's situation is different.

Kind of a long-shot, but I have a code for PlayStation Direct that is $50 off any PS5 console or PSVR2. I'll let it go for $20 (Venmo or PayPal).FYI I got the code from Back Door trade in when I sold them my PS5. It expires in August.

I got burned on the "Pro" version of the PS4 and from what I've read it was a bigger improvement over the 4 than this Pro iteration is of the 5. At least the 4 Pro natively came with a disc drive included for $399. I can't even recommend the Pro 5 over the standard 5 with or without disc drive if you don't have a 5. This is SD after all so stick with the PS5 with disc drive on sale.

not really cause you priced in a 2 TB SSD when it's an additional 1 TB more than slim and price for those are like $60-70, not $150 more.
No idea why I priced 2 TB drives, thanks for the catch.

When GTA6 comes out next year and still won't be on PC on day 1, then the PS5 pro will show its worth, until then, its a small marginal improvement over the base PS5
Something tells me GTA6 is def going to price at $99 when released..... they know people will still buy it at that price point, don't' be surprised when it's $99. Either way it will break every record for entertainment including any film release, etc. EEK!

Where would one find the 10% coupon? I don't see a mention of it within the thread.
Sign up for Dell's email newsletter and it will show up in an hour or so.

Dell.com has the 10 percent off coupon for signing up their rewards program for free, which is $65 off $650. Best deal.

Even better if you have $100 statement credit when buying $500 or more on Dell with an Amex credit card.

its back in stock

So close to pulling the trigger on the Dell deal. Got the 10% coupon and $100 AMEX. I just don't think I'd play it enough to justify it. More excited for Switch 2.

I want the Switch 2 as well, but I went with the PS5 Pro, as I just don't think we will ever see it for $200 off in the next couple of years.

Is it worth the upgrade over the regular ps5?

If you have to ask, probably not

Why did this make it back to FP again? It's not really a deal at $650, more like regular price honestly.

Disagree entirely. As someone who already has an OLED, the PS5 Pro was a game changer literally in terms of game performance, smoothness, and enjoyment. Getting a solid 60 fps in most game in quality settings doesn't make me motion sick like my regular PS5 would.

For context, people are paying more for a switch 2 on the eBay.
