Who cares about the speakers, you never use them. Either using external speakers or a headset.

The cheapest rtx 5080 on sale! Finally the 5070ti and 5080 models price is somewhat reasonable! Great performance by both the beasts!

This was the same price for OLED a few days ago.
Apologies, I mistook it for another deal. It was this price for the same specs. This is a good deal.

I would really like to see a link for this as well. I've been monitoring 5080 laptops pretty heavily over the last few weeks and I don't feel like I would have missed this deal.

I originally was looking to buy a 5090 if I could get one for under $3k. There is a discount, but cheapest I could build with good components was $3,250. Based on benchmarks, I don't think the 5090 is worth the $1,000 premium.

Of course you can do whatever you want, but I don't think you will get the power you want from a 5090 in a laptop. 5080 is prob the better option

Considering the G16 5080 with OLED goes for 3400, this is a pretty amazing deal. Only thing is, I hear the speakers are pretty terrible on this thing, which just perplexes me to no end since the HP Spectre/Omnibook lineup has some of the best audio on a windows laptop. Why skimp out on this on their premium gaming lineup ?!!

My understanding is that the 5060 is the best bang for the buck on laptops. Everything after that is incremental gains at exorbitant prices.

I was going to say, for a gaming laptop, should really use some type of headset since those fans get stupid loud under load... even with speakers, you'll hear the fan noise

The problem is that 8GB vram on 5060/5070. 1440p starts having vram issues with some new games. Some of the new 5060 laptops have 1600p displays. That is going cause even worse issues with new games.

Temps are crazy high, see jarrodtech's videos
Also one of the ssd slots (the one with the ssd installed) is underneath the heatsink, which has a proprietary liquid metal paste.
