The knock off was constructed horribly. Like a slideshow of how not to build batteries. Then on top of it, it had less protections built in to the battery (not that I trusted any of the ones they included to actually function).
I get that the knock offs are tempting, and not saying I never buy them, just realize they are a huge risk. Especially on a battery pack like this that might have 10+ cells that are likely to propagate to each other

There are a couple of places online you can buy them for about $5 per coupon. You do have to use a Lowe's Credit Card though.
I will also say using ANY coupon in store at Lowe's is always a YMMV. Their systems require manual intervention EVERY time because they only have self-checkout now…at least around me. Really a pain. I only use them online now. Not worth the fight.

Did you do this at the same store your picked your order ? Any pushback from the clerk while returning?
I purchased in store. Walked out to my car with a blower and battery. Then came right back in with just the battery and returned it. No push back at all, just the normal is there anything wrong with it question.
Looks like Lowe's fixed it, and it no longer shows as line item instead, shows the second battery as free !
But yesterday, it was different

I call bs. I have a kobalt 500cfm 120mph 4.0ah blower from walmart and does absolutely fine in late fall rain-soaked leaves that have been matted down by cars. Its able to lift the crud off for at least 15 min full trigger, which is enough for my driveway, street, and front lawn.

Must be something wrong with your unit or you are using a small(er) battery. This thing kicks my gas blowers asses. Turbo sends the leaves to the neighbors neighbor.
