I am thinking about doing solar for my garden/chicken coop area. I have a small 12v motor home pump for a sand well (1.2 gpm), 2 -25 watt heater plates for the chickens in the winter and the big one is a 1hp water pump that uses about 1000w but only about 30 minutes every couple days. I use it to pump water out of my holding tank to water the garden when it's dry. I'm not sure if this can handle the initial surge for the pump and wonder if anyone has any experience doing that. I'm also looking at the ecoflow delta 2 max but not sure how it compares with this one. Noob to solar so trying to figure out if I can do i this instead of trenching and running 400' of romex.

I'm no expert, but a good sized capacitor could help with the surge. I remember using them in car audio for amps and subs, and it is the same principle.

I would go with the trenching a wire idea instead of solar. Upsize the wire to help with voltage drop. And don't use romex, use UF type wire.

I question why anyone would buy something this expensive over ebay. I would only buy it from a known reputable seller or direct from the manufacturer. I'd worry about warranty issues, and being able to dispute the charge on my credit card if the product was defective.

Probably 8/2 UF wire will probably do it. But i would probably go with 6/2. Just in case you want to add more out there in the future.

Who cares?
This is the guys who says things like "you get what you pay for."
You can spend whatever you want if your only requirement is, "easy" or "safe".
I'm thinking this isn't a great buy anyway but your thought doesn't belong on this website. That's for a different type of consumer.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I don't agree.

A slick deal does not involved paying for garbage that isn't going to provide enough value to justify the purchase, before it stops working.

This is not a good deal.
I have bought tons of Eco Worthy stuff and I know all their lowest prices.
$680= 8 x $85 195w panels
$640= 2 x $320 for 24v 100ah
$100= 60a mppt
$250= 24v Inverter ?? Estimating.
$50= Combiner box. Do you really need it ?

You're looking at maybe $1720 total.
I have bought all of that stuff beside the 24v Inverter and combiner box.
Hard pass.

I'm guessing you haven't bought from Ebay lately ??
I've been buying through Ebay for the past 2 yrs and I actually like buying from them vs Amazon.
It's easier to talk with the seller and the returns are easier when it's shipped from the sellers.
(items shipped from Amazon are the easiest returns)
I've bought 2 Pecron items that went awry, one from Ebay Pecron and one directly from Pecron.
I can tell you I got much better results through Ebay.

His fear is misplaced, he would indeed be buying from the manufacturer. They have an established record of providing warranty assistance.

Still I like the idea of a CBox in a starter kit, as it introduces the panels configuration and DC circuit protections into the experience.
