Trickery and fraud? You're assuming people are taking advantage of Panera when in fact, Panera is getting exactly what they want in the deal too, whether it's a new customer or someone signing up with a new email address (not like it's hard for companies to detect this.) For the dirt low price of coffee or tea, they get you into their store where you're more likely to spend $11 on a half sandwich.

The house always wins.

If you have a Gmail address, you can add a "." anywhere within the address or a "+" followed by anything at the end of your base address and that will also go to your inbox. Gmail views it as the same address, but most vendors recognize it as a different address / account. For instance, if your email is JohnDoe@Gmail, then Jo.hnDoe@Gmail or JohnDoe+1@Gmail or JohnDoe+Panera@Gmail would be separate variants of your address that would also go to your Gmail inbox. It's kind of like the virtual credit card thing … Gmail essentially gives you an unlimited number of "virtual" email addresses with every account.

Nope, no need to buy anything else. Sometimes they'll have SIP member exclusive coupons that are hard to pass on ($1 bagels, $2 pastries, etc).

Isn't this technically trickery and fraud? I always try and do the right thing. If they have wronged me, I can always leave. Just saying and I'm sure many people won't like this but its the truth whether you like it or not.

Edit: as I predicted many people dislike this but not one person gave an argument. The reason is that it is impossible to make any argument justifying this and it is cheating. You do not have to go here they do not owe you anything so that you cheat them or anyone else. This is a fact and you are delusional if you think otherwise.

No. Not trickery. They could flag reused CC # or phone #. How many people have unlimited CCs or phone#'s to use?
Granted, the phone #s can be fake, but they could stop that with SMS verification.
Likewise, there's a good # who forget to cancel, and at $15/mo, that funds other users' free months or their free months when they sign up again. Why do we have apps (e.g., Trim, Rocket Money, Truebill, and Bobby) to check for subs that we've forgotten about and no longer use? I cannot be the only one who has done this with Panera and other subs, correct?
Lastly, I have bought hundreds of dollars in gift cards to Panera to use for things because when I log into their kiosk for a drink, it prompts me about a deal for a $2 pastry or $1 bagel or $2 off a sandwich. And I don't know many people just going in for a drink, but I am sure there are plenty. I do on occasion when driving by.

I personally think that if they go rid of these free months, they should offer a cheaper sub ($3/mo?) for frequent diners to get a free drink with purchase. Their sandwiches are overpriced and small, but they are yummy and "healthier", and I'd go in for a sandwich once a week. I see a lot of company meetings order from them as they cover the spectrum of what people can eat when there are dietary or religious restrictions. The ones near me are always packed during lunch even with high schoolers.
I know that without this SIP Club, I would frequent Panera maybe once per month. There is no value IMO on their food. I could buy a loaf of French bread for $1 at Walmart and a tub of chicken salad for $5. That would be like 4 sandwiches at Panera and the cost would be like 1/5th or more.

Keep getting an error, oops something went wrong. Can't ever figure out why my credit cards are not working on the website or app. Works fine in the cafe but can't sign up in the cafe.

I've tried using my email account and doing both the "." or "+" trick, and the same phone money, but no luck. Anybody have any ideas on what I'm doing incorrectly?

Truth is truth. Especially if you don't buy bread or something to keep them in business

You're assuming the worst of others. I've signed up for this free Sip Club offer before but never used it the entire time. So for me, it's not trickery or fraud, since I never even got to try the last time I signed up. Tips on how to sign up as a new member is helpful for me, so that I have a chance to try it.
