Trickery and fraud? You're assuming people are taking advantage of Panera when in fact, Panera is getting exactly what they want in the deal too, whether it's a new customer or someone signing up with a new email address (not like it's hard for companies to detect this.) For the dirt low price of coffee or tea, they get you into their store where you're more likely to spend $11 on a half sandwich.

The house always wins.

If you have a Gmail address, you can add a "." anywhere within the address or a "+" followed by anything at the end of your base address and that will also go to your inbox. Gmail views it as the same address, but most vendors recognize it as a different address / account. For instance, if your email is JohnDoe@Gmail, then Jo.hnDoe@Gmail or JohnDoe+1@Gmail or JohnDoe+Panera@Gmail would be separate variants of your address that would also go to your Gmail inbox. It's kind of like the virtual credit card thing … Gmail essentially gives you an unlimited number of "virtual" email addresses with every account.

Me too. I signed up for the T-mobile Panera sip clup offer a few months back. You know I might buy some food if everything wasn't filled with sugar and carbs. They have like 1 salad that I might be able to eat but it doesn't look appetizing. Panera bread is just not friendly to diabetics and people who are trying to lose weight.

Ok, so technically "soft drinks" just means that it isn't hard, with alcohol.
So are lemonades included in this?

I wish their coffee taste better.

Also, their Iced Coffee are almost tasteless colored water. It doesn't worth the full price but around .99

Isn't this technically trickery and fraud? I always try and do the right thing. If they have wronged me, I can always leave. Just saying and I'm sure many people won't like this but its the truth whether you like it or not.

Edit: as I predicted many people dislike this but not one person gave an argument. The reason is that it is impossible to make any argument justifying this and it is cheating. You do not have to go here they do not owe you anything so that you cheat them or anyone else. This is a fact and you are delusional if you think otherwise.
Just offering my .02 and say that yes, legally, you are right. On the terms and conditions, they have a limitation, but in practice, there is a work-around and this loophole is not closed for reasons other people already said - marketing, getting foot traffic, growing membership to show shareholders, etc. They also probably keep the limitation either to show shareholders that it's there to deter people, and if they need to enforce it by suing people, for some reason, they are protected.
On the flipside, putting "caution: content is hot" on coffee cups doesn't really prevent people from getting burned, but legally deters being sued... I wonder how that warning applies to blind people. Or people that can't read English...

You guys realize you can just delete your account and sign back up w/ the same email and phone. On the app, it's under My Information and the very bottom is a Delete Account link. I've been doing it this way for over a year now.

I think this is dead. It keeps giving an error when you try to sign up.

Just tried. Its working. All I had to do was delete my account via app
Menu > Profile & Settings > My Information > scroll down to the bottom and click 'Delete Account'
Startover with the slickdeals link above and create the account again with same email and phone.

Did Panera remove the option to delete an account? I don't see that option on the app nor web browser.

I still see it on the app. It's tiny and in grey color at the bottom of Profile.

That's so weird. I logged into my account on Panera app on different phones and none of them have the option to delete.
