What are you talking about? Panasonic still owns their brand and their TV brand. They do contract out to other companies for their TVs to be made though, this one is manufactured by TCL, not exactly a generic Chinese brand. Panasonic pays TCL (and other companies) a flat fee to make their TVs for them, using parts that Panasonic sourced and Panasonic software and processing.

I feel so bad for Panasonic. They're a great company and make excellent TVs. Reentering a market is tough as hell when there are established players.

Just want to share I bought the 85" version of this the other week and love the tv. The picture is incredible and viewing angles are amazing. A lot of people here were saying it's not good for gaming… but I honestly think it's awesome with my PS5. I must not be as picky but I'm having a blast gaming on it.

I am going to reply to THIS thread, for the Panasonic W95 series as it is the current Front page deal.
I have been watching this deal for a few days... Looking to replace my 2012 LG.
This looks like the "deal" that I have been waiting for........ The only thing I don't like is it has Fire TV operating system, and that what was holding me back.
Both Amazon and Beach Camera are offering this TV...... The Beach Camera is a better deal, as they bundle it with a neck speaker or a sound bar...... Both of which I really don't need. The extended warranty is something that "may" be useful. HOWEVER, for some reason I don't want to chance my purchase through them (Beach Camera).
The 65" is now out of stock (sold/shipped from amazon) and is now only available from Beach Camera with a delayed shipping. So I think the stock on all these 2024 Panasonic W95 series TV's are getting very low...... As they have been on sale for 2-3 weeks now.
I just purchased the 55W95AP (sold and shipped from Amazon) as it was the one I wanted..... and felt if I kept waiting to place my order, I would of been really pissed if I missed out on the deal.

One thing though..... I am going to miss my "dumb" LG TV as it works great with my Tivo and my Roku Ultra (2024).

this Panny TV will work with your Tivo and Roku Ultra. Just use the HDMI inputs and not the Fire OS.

I have watched every video on the W95 and have read the Manual..... And unfortunately I do not see a option for the TV to do this (and I hope I am wrong, cause if it does that will be awesome!) It does have a Button on the remote that you can Map to input (or input menu)

I have Apple TV and when I turn on my tv from that remote it turns on Apple TV I don't seee the fire os at all
