If you really need a lot of paper, Office Depot has 10 reams (5000 sheets) of Boise X-9 on sale for $39.99 right now, that's $3.99 per ream.

I've had good results with Boise X-9 in my Epson printer...

Anyway, I prefer to buy my printer paper the old fashioned way - steal it from work Smilie

Would love to know the economics of shipping a 5b package to people for free.
Surely it makes more sense to offload it at the discount retailers instead?

One, it gets people browsing.
Two, it keeps people paying for Prime.
Three, Amazon marginal logistics cost is so dirty/dirt cheap at this point.

And if all those fail, it's a loss leader.

Since the maximum quantity is 3, I don't think it's a total loss for Amazon. Remember, Amazon is primarily a logistics company, not a sales one.

Was going to say the same. Sometimes you can snap a box for $34.99. And free shipping is $60+

Costco averages around $7 per ream of 500 sheets in low quantity. If you only need 1-2 reams, this Woot deal isn't half bad. If you have the space for a full case, then not so much.
