Taking bleach soaked paper towel and leaving it on the grout for a few hours has worked really well for me.

It appears the product is basically bleach in a gel suspension which may be helpful in some circumstances where you need the bleach to cling.

This works pretty well. Cleaned all the mold stains off my washing machine gasket.
Use a lot so it does not dry and leave it overnight.
Ordering one to keep on hand.

I tried RMR-86 Instant Mold and Mildew Stain Remover Spray - Scrub Free Formula, 32 Fl Oz and I am amazed by the stuff. Bleach only works on some things it seems but this stuff hasn't let me down at all and it did work in the 15 seconds it claims. On vertical situations I do saturate a paper towel and press in place for a longer period of time.

This is very expensive and not really a good deal. I have used these on caulking and they work well, but at the end of day it's only a cosmetic temporary cleaner. It's more or less time to change the caulking probably. Also I wouldn't want to use it on the washer, wouldn't want to degrade the rubber with bleach...but maybe I'm wrong about that. Best thing for washer is just to leave it open to dry so mold never occurs in the first place.
