As someone whose ears that don't fit AirPods well (any) these are a lifesaver. Acts just like AirPods with the same H1 chip. Slightly better ANC in AirPods but these are so comfortable and secure.

Downsides: No wireless charging, case build quality is garbage. I have heard the wings can deteriorate but I'm 1+ year in of heavy use and have no signs of trouble.

These earbuds are GOAT. I'd love to see them for $60, but even at twice that price they're still a good value. I wish they'd make a v2.

The recent FP deal on Yamaha tw-e7b flagship earbuds for $60 was slick.

So many earbud variations by these companies... Kind of hard to keep up.. Especially soundcore, soundpeats, tozo

More like comparing a higher quality apple to a lower quality apple for double the price ๐Ÿ˜‚

Yamaha TW-E7B: $60

Bluetooth: 5.2 with aptX Adaptive (higher audio quality, lower latency)

Drivers: 10mm dynamic (larger drivers = richer sound)

Sound Quality: Natural, detailed tuning with Listening Optimizer and Advanced Listening Care

Water Resistance: IPX5 (better protection vs sweat and splashes)

ANC: Good, with adaptive tuning based on ear fit and environment

Battery Life: 6h (buds) + 16h (case), quick charge supported

Comfort: Ergonomic, secure for long sessions

Beats Fit Pro: $120

Bluetooth: 5.0 with AAC (no aptX)

Drivers: 9.5mm

Sound Quality: Bass-heavy, consumer-tuned

Water Resistance: IPX4

ANC: Excellent, uses Apple's H1 chip for adaptive ANC

Battery Life: 6h (buds) + 18h (case), fast charging

Comfort: Wingtip fit for workouts

Why Yamaha TW-E7B is Superior

Better codec support: aptX Adaptive > AAC (especially for Android users)

More refined sound: Studio-quality tuning vs bass-heavy consumer sound

Larger drivers = more accurate, fuller soundstage

IPX5 rating = better durability

Unique Yamaha DSP features: Listening Optimizer + Advanced Listening Care.

Definitely wish they had wireless charging. Haven't had any issues with the case quality, but I could see where you could have problems. Same experience with the wings... I've heard they can deteriorate/fall off, but I've had mine for almost 3.5 years (heavy use) and they are showing zero signs of cracking, etc.

You can have all the great specs in the world, but if the connectivity is absolutely awful , it means a grand total of zeroโ€ฆeeesh I'll take the "sub par apples" any dayโ€ฆ.

These are the best gym earbuds for iPhone users imo, hands-down. I have several pairs.

I use multiple pairs of these for ultra running, and they are very good earbuds save the materials used for the wingtips. They should have used something other than cheap rubber to reinforce the wingtips, as they can easily snap off if you're not careful, which is what happened to me. I was fortunately still under warranty, and Apple replaced them immediately. Even if you're not exercising, be careful cleaning them, because the wingtip can and will separate if you are not careful. I just found Anker X20's buds at Costco Next for $63, which is not bad given that they're $79 on Amazon.

Yamaha's are about 10% heavier (6.7 ounces vs 7.3). May not seem like a lot but it may for some especially during long workouts or international flights.

Yea the broken ear tips definitely happened to me over 2-3 years of light use. It might be the way I insert them causes more stress on the tips than how other people do it (hard to describe, but I "snap" them in place vs twist them into position). I was well past warranty so I just superglued the tips back down and they are working great!
