Be aware that both the first line and the free second line must be on the Dark Star (ATT) network, and you cannot switch to other networks for more than 36 days in a year, or you will be charged the
full fee. What this means is that you are committing to AT&T for a year, on two lines. I've had excellent service and connectivity from US Mobile on the Warp Network (Verizon), but my free Dark Star line is mediocre at best on my 2024 Razr. Downloads of 4.5mbps/ uploads under 1mbps. That is despite ATT map showing good coverage here.
I recommend that anyone considering this do a test drive on the Dark Star Network first, as it is the only way to determine if it will work for you. Try it at home, work, and any other places you hang out.
I'd recommend not falling for this "deal" and just paying monthly for whatever network you want to try. Only if it works great would I commit to it. If the free line were my main line (it is not, I have Warp on my main line) I would get rid of it even if that meant forfeiting a free line.)

Every time I work with USM staff they are competent, polite, and patient. And almost always get things right on the first effort!
To compare, "US-based" Consumer Cellular is a joke for "customer service."
Very easy to port out. No issues. It's great being able to switch between all three networks, which is unique to US Mobile.
My wife was hesitant to switch, but she's had no issues at all on Dark Star (AT&T). I have RCS issues on Dark Star with a OnePlus 13, but no issues on Warp (Verizon).

you can switch to warp for 36 days total for the tenure per the terms.
OR they will charge the free plan prorated based on the free plan's regular rate.

Annual Unlimited Premium and Annual Unlimited Starter "Buy One, Get One" deal:
From 6/2/2025 to 6/7/2025 (or until supplies last, whichever comes first), US Mobile is offering the "Buy One, Get One" promotion on specific Annual plans:
1. A user will receive a free Annual Starter plan if the user purchases an Annual Premium plan, and a free Annual Flex plan if the user purchases an Annual Starter plan.
2. To receive the free plan, the user must activate their purchased plan first. The paid plan must be activated on Dark Star and the line must be a port in. New number activations and activations of the paid plan on US Mobile's other networks will not be eligible to receive a free plan.
3. Once the paid line has met the eligibility criteria (a port in on Dark Star) the free line will be available to activate under "My Lines" on the user's dashboard within 24 hours.
4. The free plan must also be activated on our Dark Star network and the line must be a port in. The option to activate a new number or activate on a different network will not be available on the free plan tile.
5. The port in lines on both the paid plan and the free plan must not have been active on US Mobile in the last 15 days. Port ins that were active on US Mobile within the last 15 days will not count as eligible port ins for this offer.
6. The free annual plan must be activated within 30 days of being made available on the user's dashboard. It will expire after 30 days if it is unactivated.
7. An account will be eligible to receive a maximum of three Buy One, Get One deals. Additional annual plan purchases, even if port ins on Dark Star, will not get a second free Annual plan.
8. Once the free plan is also activated, the paid line will become non refundable, even if the paid line would otherwise have met the criteria for a refund. That is, the normal refund criteria (outlined in the section below on the multi-month plan refund policy) are superceded by the activation of the free Buy One, Get One plan tile.
9. On both the paid plan and the free plan, the ability to transfer networks will be available after activation. However, Dark Star must remain both lines' primary network and the lines' must be on Dark Star for at least 90% of the time (that is, they must not be on another network for more than 36 days of the annual plan).
10. If a user wants to move either the paid line or the free line to one of our other networks for more than 10% of the time, they can do so but the free line will be converted to a paid plan and they will be charged the prorated amount owed for any remaining months on the free annual plan.
11. The free line will be giftable (once the gifting feature is available sometime in June 2025): that is, a user who receives a free Annual plan as part of the BOGO deal can transfer that free line to another user (this could be an existing user or someone who is not yet a US Mobile user – they will receive the free plan after creating their US Mobile account).
12. Once a free line is gifted, and the transfer to the recipient's account is complete, even if the gifted line has not yet been activated on the recipient's account, the paid line on the sender's account will become non refundable.
13. If a user upgrades their paid plan from Annual Starter to Annual Premium, the gift line will not be upgraded (that is, if a user purchased an Annual Starter plan and received a free Annual Flex plan, the free plan will remain on Annual Flex even if the user later upgrades the Starter plan to a Premium plan).
So I have questions:
- I'm on Tmobile - can I get this deal? It says both lines have to be port-ins? Does this just mean new to Dark Star (AT&T)?????
- "US Mobile allows you to transfer your lines between all three of their network, Dark Star, Warp and Light Speed" Does this mean US Mobile three different networks?????????
- Can anyone comment on Mint Mobile vs US Mobile vs TMobile? Mint is $20 unlimited per line - so $40/month for two lines. How are Speeds/connections/features?
- Why choose Unlimited Starter vs Unlimited Premium? Isn't Premium better? Why the two choices?
- What the heck is "Get Annual Unlimited Starter Plan" for free. No description of this online? What does it offer????
- Int'l Data in 90+ Countries Int'l Calling & Texting - what are the limitations? This seems like a killer deal. TMbolile allwos for data and I think calling in Canad and Mexico. But this says 90+ Countries - again this is a killer deal if correct. Can anyone comment on this?
ATM I'm on a grandfathered TMobile for $80/month - 55+ discount and online pay $10 less - I'm pissed it used to be $70! I really want to dump Tmobile. Definitely don't want to go to Verizon and ATT. Is US Mobile (or Mint Mobile) a good replacement?? I worry about service/quality/coverage. US Mobile says 99% coverage and no commitment - but you do have to prepay for the year - does this mean they will offer refund for unused months???

Dark Star = ATT
Warp = Verizon
Light Speed = TMobile
This offer just needs portin to Dark Star aka ATT, doesn't matter which carrier the line currently sits at
Unlimited Premium is priority data - so QCI8
whereas Unlimited Starter is standard data - so QCI9
I believe they provide 1GB roaming data in 90+ countries, 200 roaming mins
From US, intl calling and texting is included
I had to ported out this line, wait for 15 days, then ported it back. And B1G1 free line has to be activated within 30 days.
