Which if you are currently not a subscriber, you can load up 2-3 years and convert to a higher tier, you pay the prorated difference. So theres definitly some use. Thats what Im doing, Switch gets delivered Thursday, Ill redeem, convert and play gamecube day 1.

This won't work if you currently have the expansion membership. I bought the 3 years last time this deal was available, but can't use it until the end of the year when it expires.

Nope, if you already have a tier higher than individual, you cant buy this and convert. You would have to wait for your current subscription to expire.

Word of advice. Skip this and get the family plan. Every year I buy a family plan and sell my other family member slots thru Reddit for $5 each. Costs me $0 every year.

So buy 2 of these $10.79ea for 2 years then buy the 1yr $50 online expansion directly from Nintendo? To get 3 yrs of online + expansion?

Not quite. You dont convert the entire length of the membership to the higher tier like gamepass. You buy 2 of these for $10.79, (fees realistically bring it to 12), you convert for $18.25 each, so you are ahead $6.25 x 2 or 12.50 which you would use to purchase the $50 dollar online expansion directly from nintendo. You would pay $ 24 dollars for $36.5 essentially.

There are many different devices that can play GameCube, with more enhancements than Nintendo will offer, so I'd hardly call it exclusive.
