Original MSRP given isn't even close. Based on the page info these are from a brand called SweetNight (not "Home"), whose mattresses don't even come close to the MSRP claimed here on their own website.

All these gel or form type mattresses are not good because there's no air circulation like traditional mattresses so you sweat and it holds heat

I just bought this Sweet Night mattress from Walmart for $212 2 weeks ago:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sweetn...hbdg=L1600
I was very skeptical, because 4 years ago I bought a Zinus hybrid from Walmart, and it was so hot I couldn't stay in the bed. I was sweating, and it was a 25 degree night outside, so it wasn't the middle of the summer. That tainted me against any memory foam mattress, so I bought a Costco Beautyrest latex mattress. It was fine until last year, when it started developing a ridge in it, so I chatted with Costco 3 weeks ago and they gave me a full refund.
I couldn't find a decent latex mattress for less than $1000, and I wasn't sure about that one (a Sam's mattress), so I kept doing my research. I looked at Purple, Casper, and all kinds of mattresses until I was tired of looking. Then I saw the Sweet Night above. I figured I'd take a chance on it since I could do the same thing I did with the Zinus - roll it up in the back of my truck and take it back.
I got the Sweet Night last week, unrolled it and tried it out with no mattress topper. It's pretty firm but very sleepable, so I put a mattress topper on it. It's the best $212 I've spent in a long time! It comes with a 10 year warranty, but I'm thinking if I get 2 or 3 good years out of it, I'll be fine. Maybe it'll keep on surprising me.
Sorry for the long post, but from a 225 lb. 6'-6" warm sleeper, I'm looking forward to the Sweet Night future.

How can mattress costs so much. Is it expensive rare earth materials or just massive markups.

I'm really waiting for a slick deal because I picked up that $150 Sam's Club serta motion air frame yesterday and can't do much with this pillow top in terms of the motor functions

I would also agree with the warning. Wayfair is a marketplace, with the products being owned and shipped by various retailers who just rebrand products made by manufacturers outside the country. It's hard to find reliable reviews for some of the products, and while you can return them, you have to pay for shipping them back, and that cost can add up. I ordered couple things from wayfair, including my sectional which I kept but deeply regret because it is a very uncomfortable couch that somehow nobody pointed out in the reviews. i had just moved in to a new house and needed some basic furniture and was too exhausted to return, order some new one, and spend some more months without a couch. I also ordered a table that looked nothing like the pictures and had damage to the wood, I asked to return in and I think i paid 30$ for sending it back at the time. A mattress will be bigger than that, not sure what the cost would be, should you want to send it back.
