GIGABYTE WINDFORCE GeForce RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7 PCI Express 5.0 ATX Graphics Card GV-N5060WF2OC-8GD [newegg.com]

$299.99 with free shipping

This seems like a decent deal if you need something in the price range. It is roughly the performance of the Intel Arc B580 or the three generations back GeForce RTX 2080, or the Radeon RX 7600 XT. For modern games on a modern motherboard the Arc B580 would still be the better deal assuming you can get it at the $249 MSRP. Note that all of these except the RTX 2080 use only eight PCIe lanes so they really only work the best if you have a motherboard with at least PCIe 4.0.

Punish Nvidia by not buying this garbage. I think if you're desperate I think you can find something better.

The RX 9060 16GB is supposed to list for ~$350. Might be worth waiting a few weeks.

Watch the Gamers Nexus review of the AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB. A definite consideration if you're playing at 1080p.

If you want something low end immediately and you don't care if it doesn't age very well in the future, then you can consider an 8 GB card. If you want something that you can use for a good long time, do not buy an 8 GB card, period. 8 GB vram is lousy and quickly becoming a bottleneck. Get a card with at least 16 GB.

At this price tier, brand new, I would shoot for a 9060 XT 16GB (not 8GB). MSRP is $350, but you'll need to be patient if it's out of stock at this price. Rule of thumb at this price tier, don't get any GPU that has under 12GB of VRAM. The only exception you might consider is the RTX 3080 10GB.

Here is Hardware Unboxed's review of the 9060 XT 16GB (look for the Performance Summary and Ray Tracing Performance Summary sections): https://www.techspot.com/review/2...n-9060-xt/ (There is also video form: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LAH5vh-Cpg)

Here's a place where you can see performance comparisons (Relative Performance section): https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-s...5060.c4219

Here's a curated list with more VRAM, using the 5060 as the performance floor. This is brand-new pricing and includes most but not all retailers (e.g., Micro Center), so you might find better deals elsewhere or 2nd-hand options on eBay, jawa.gg, and other marketplaces: https://pcpartpicker.com/products...96,591,592

Whatever you choose, you can find reliable reviews by Hardware Unboxed and Gamers Nexus and head-to-head comparisons by Michael Owen on YouTube.

The only 5060 8gb worth getting are the single fan and low profile options, and only because they are the fastest of those sorts of card available.
