EVERY time I've purchased Energizer or Duracell button cells on Amazon, they seem to die almost instantly in whatever they're put in. I always make sure they're shipped and sold by Amazon, and the packaging always looks completely legit, but I suspect their inventory is comingled with the million counterfeits on there. When I buy at Walmart or Target, I do not have this problem.

If buying on Amazon, I've had better results with the cheap Voniko brand. I guess it's not worth counterfeiting those.

Same experience for me. Button batteries bought from Amazon often times drain way faster than buying the same battery from CVS or a drug store. I guess amazon doesn't care because this has been going on for years.

These used to be ok, but lately they have been dying extremely fast, at least for me.

You absolutely should order this from Target over Amazon. Perhaps store pickup even. As far as I know Target doesn't have a marketplace system so there's no real way to inject counterfeit goods into their supply chain like Amazon is notorious for.

That's funny. I bought the Voniko brand last time and I've replaced it in my key fob at least 3 times over the last 6-9 months. They seem to die almost immediately.

Similar price for the Duracells: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009108SGS/ (4.99) - which I've had better luck with.

Save your money- Do not buy from Amazon. (You can but from Amazon if you want to). I purchased two packs of these exact batteries from Amazon and all failed in a very short amount of time-
How short? A garage door opener battery would last three and four days. That is with the device being used 6 to 8 times. that is 6 or 8 times
I pressed the button to open my garage door. ridiculous.
