This was even cheaper a few weeks ago (got it around $6). I received mine already, and it's a good product for the price. Highly rated among ultralight hikers/campers. With that said, it does feel plasticky on the skin, so unless you actually need a light weight towel for special reasons, you wouldn't want this.

How many times have you washed and dried them? I'm curious if the plastic feeling dissipates.

1 small caveat is that these are large size, while the other deal included XL size

So not exactly a 1 for 1 better deal unless you were explicitly getting the large ones

wow, these have a great review avg on amazon: 4.7 stars w 8k+ reviews. I have some old, similar camping towels that I use for my swim bag, and these fit the bill for replacement. I think I like the mesh bag w handle approach more than the one that came with mine. tu op

The nice thing about these is they are light, pack small and dry fast. That is the tradeoff and why they won't feel like cotton towels. If you are car camping you can probably get away with a towel from home or a beach towel.
