You're right.

I guess I am in the minority and still hate constant advertisements.

I know they all do it , but Amazon is especially gross with how they are bombard people to buy their crap.

Prime TV now has "add to cart" when they serve you the same ad ten times in a one hour show.

I will only imagine what it is like on these and all the data they are scraping and pulling from your network.

Can you explain how they could be scraping data from the network ? I can understand data thgey pull from Amazon device, but I would like to protect myself from them scraping data from n/w. Thanks in advance

If you have a guest wireless network, I like to throw IoT devices on that away from my primary network. Guest networks are generally logically segmented from primary networks.
