Firmware update is posted on Reddit. It is in Beta, but appears to work. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and you will see Beta Firmware for a bunch of the controllers, including the 2C!
These are not working on Switch 2, it's all over the Internet, nobody can get any of the Switch 8bitdo controllers to work on Switch 2, going to take a firmware update from 8bitdo.
I have the Navy version of this controller I bought specifically for Switch 2, they connect to the Switch 2, but none of the buttons or inputs work and the Switch 2 doesn't recognize it on the controller layout screen.
I have used it on Android with Bluetooth, not sure about PC (cuz I use the 2.4ghz receiver that comes with it) but I'm assuming it'd work also....although I'd advise against using Bluetooth if you still have the receiver

What?? Oh no. That sucks. I thought controller compatibility would have been a relatively easy thing. I guess I don't have as many Switch 2 controllers as I thought.
Yep, just tested on mine. It's not working.

I know some people aren't fond of the colors on these but it makes them a lot easier to find inside a drawer or armrest full of black and white controllers

Wireless 8bitdo controllers are either Bluetooth OR 2.4GHz. All of them (that I know of) also work wired. If you buy a Bluetooth 8bitdo, it will not have the 2.4GHz dongle. FWIW, I was excited about this deal post until I saw it was for the Bluetooth variant, because I prefer the 2.4GHz mainly for latency but also stability.
Also be aware that some of the controllers they make are custom tailored to plug into original game consoles. So, just because you see a dongle is included doesn't necessarily mean you're getting a USB dongle.

Does this work wired if I want to? Or is it only wireless via bluetooth/dongle. Amazon review says it doesn't.

I had the original... It was great, other than the stick drift. With the Hall Sticks supposedly taking care of that issue, they really can't be beat for this price.
