I bought this monitor and every so often my screen turns black and I get a "DP no signal" message. I have to turn the monitor off and then back on which is kind of annoying because in order to turn off the monitor you have to hold the power button for about 5 seconds. After some research I found out that this is a pretty common problem with MSI monitors so buyer beware. Before you ask I've bought new VESA certified cables that are 500 Hz 4k certified and I still get the same issue every few months.

Want this for CoD on the PS5… but it not having hdmi 2,1 is frustrating. My PS5 is nearly 5 years old and has that.
Can anyone recommend monitor for the PS5 that is the size and has HDMI 2.1?

Now that the old Dell G2724D is gone, this is the king of cheap very good high refresh ISP screens. I had one and wished I had kept it. Had no backlight bleed no bad pixels and looked good. Unlike the Dell which I only ever found one screen with no backlight bleed, but it had over 15 bad pixels. There is an Omen on sale, same size, specs and price. This monitor is better in every way as I have also had that Omen.

MSI is selling these as refurbished on Ebay for $139 with a 2 year warranty from Alllstate. That is how I got mine off Ebay as a refurbished unit. The screen was perfect.

Bought 2 of the previous iterations of this as the M27Q about 2 years ago. One is dying right now with the bottom third all black lines and random flickering. Other one is fine. However, mine were both the BGR layout instead of normal RGB.

Mine does that same shit too.. Except mine is not a low end monitor. So I guess it truly is an msi thing,. Luckily I don't have to hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn it off. But it does take a few presses anyways so it might as well take 5 sec.

I worked on a few monitors. Most reliable are Samsung and Acer. Least reliable NEC and HP. MSI could benefit if equipped with more robust electronics. To be fair, it's properly reflected in the price of their products.

Not Superman, so I have difficulty processing anything above 60 frames per second. BTW, movies are shot at 24 fps. US HDTV transmission can be 30 or 60 fps. They all look great with my aging eyeballs.

Do you work for MSI? That sounds like a shill comment. This is a mediocre low-end monitor. I got a much better Gigabyte 34" Curved Ultrawide 1440p HDR 144hz monitor on sale for just $50 more, not long ago. Normally $350.

Here's the Rtings review of this. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...g274qpf-qd
I bought one a while back when it was $200 and I thought the same thing. Later I found the review you just shared and I learned there's more to a monitor than refresh rate, resolution, and response time. Thanks for sharing the review! It's been a good monitor, but I wish I had saved for a better one with higher ratings.

The one you linked is showing as 1080p instead of 1440p.
