Obviously your choice, but you're missing out on some of their best knives which come out of their Taiwan factory.
This 20% off deal is everywhere right now, so I wouldn't recommend buying from a no name website no one has heard of that's just kicking back affiliates to SD
I bought a knife from their last sale and it was made in Japan. Very well made.

Not the person you replied to- but I also ordered from the last sale, the Salt knives with the H1 and H2 steel were Japanese. It's an extremely corrosion resistant steel.

Not as many in this batch but I saw at least one- but the Ladybug series is super small as its name implies. It's a very handy size for quickly cutting snarled fishing line, webbing, rope and other salt water cutting tasks.

Edit: I refreshed the sale and there are several models of Tasman and Pacific Salt with longer blades as well.

Yep, the Spyderco's made in Colorado are leaps and bounds better quality than the imports. I refuse to buy non Colorado made Spyderco and I have hundreds of them.

You think the fit and finish of those is better than the Taichung, Taiwan models?

I had one of their earlier knives (I think it was an Endura - all metal w/ combo blade) about 35 years ago. Was solid perfection for years until I lost it in an unfortunate boating incident.

I'm just a regular dude, not a 6,5 navy seal SD millionaire with "hundreds" of US made Spydercos, so take my advise with a grain of salt.
I do own a few from Colorado, seki city and Taiwan.
I'd say there is precious little difference in quality between the three.
If your politics dictate that you only buy American, ok fine, that's a whole other argument but based on quality alone, the Taiwan knives are by far a better bang for the buck.

No, Taiwan is the best made fit and finish Spyderco. Colorado is close but not as consistent.

I have a number of Spyderco - Mostly different versions of Para 2, Para 3, Delica/Endela/Endura, and Dragonfly 2.

The Para 2/3 are the only one I have made in Colorado and the rest are Japanese if I recall. I like them all, and they all have their place. The Para 2/3 are smoother flickers because of the brass washer, but as far as speed goes, I dont think you can open anything faster than a Delica/Endura/Endela/dragonfly with an Emerson opener. I have a bunch of OTF and regular autos as well - Emerson opener rules for quick deployment.

That being said - I know there may be some opinions on Dack Outdoors... I have no affiliation with them, but they have the best prices if you are absolutely not in a rush to get it. I have been buying from them for years - They ship, when they ship - but I've never been ripped off by them.

Dack sells the Para 2 for $128, Para 3 (Breast cancer pink/black) for $100, the Bodacious for $145.... (These are USA made). If you see on their site "Add to cart for best Price" - that's a good thing. Good luck.

*Pic added - small handful of my Spydercos

yeah, I've ordered a few things from Dack Outdoors over the past few years. During the pandemic late 2020, early 2021, they sent on day 30. I think I ordered something in 2022 and they sent it exactly on day 30. Last year I ordered something and they never sent it, they weren't responding to emails and they have no phone number. I had to get my CC company to threaten them and they miraculously sent it on day 50 or so. On their homepage it says "Our shipments can take up to 30 days," but none of my orders have shipped sooner than 30 days, and my most recent experience was the worst, and that was outside of all the pandemic chaos. I would say ordering from Dack is definitely not worth the small savings on some items.
