These tplinks without external antennas have bad range and speeds. Lots of forum complaints about expensive bricks and returns of these after purchases compared to other better routers like Asus. Also tplink conveniently forgets to update their routers after a year or so, leaving you high and dry with a rounter full of security vulnerabilities.

Redflyer you at this again...... Time for the corrections.

First this router is an exception to the shorter range because it actually has great range with its setup since it uses the epsilon wings for antennas. It also rates highly and is a top wireless performer from almost every reviewer who reviewed it.

As for better brand of routers, yes I do like Asus better but not worth paying an extra $100-200 for a similar router when you dont have to.

As for updates I already in previous threads listed the most common TP-Link routers and how some even now after 5+ years are still getting updates.... so you would be incorrect. Now since they are part of CISA all their newer routers should continue that trend for many years....

As for this deal, it was cheaper by $30 after 20% cash back when I posted the deal a few weeks ago, so a good but not great price, it has room to drop.
