How does the 5090 option with 24GB GPU and 32 GB RAM compare to MacBook Pro M4 48GB Memory option? Appreciate any inputs regarding this if anyone has done comparative analysis.

Sounds like max might have slightly better displays by default and perhaps slightly better thermals/chassis materials but not in all cases. I also bought the rtx 5070 deal, which I'm happy with. The 5070 has better storage and ram and actually the ryzen 9 ai 365 is also better. I'm good with what I got.

edit: the omen deal with the 5070 actually has the better display too.

Tempting, but I heard tat least the Omen Transcend 14 is limited to a TDP of 65W, while the Asus TUF A14 is 100w, so your video card performance will be limited.

Not sure how this is on the larger models though.

Any disadvantage for selecting the 1 x 16gb if I don't get the 2nd ram right away?
Unless someone can point me in the right direction to buy a second 16gb ram before it comes in.

I mean, you will just have less Ram, and it will be slightly slower since it isn't running in dual channel. Speaking of dual channel, it will work best if you get the same size and speed of Ram that it comes with.
