Game prices raised again, Nintendo can remote brick console, charging absurd fee for switch 1 games with minor enhancements, the enhanced editions don't even include dlc, charging for introductory tutorial to your device, button that requires online subscription to be usable, that's just to name a few.

I wish more would actually stick up and not buy this but every gamer is just keen to buy it anyway. We get the market we deserve i guess

Yeah, this is very odd of Nintendo to do and did have me hesitate a little, but taking a step back and being real, well over 90% of games these days aren't really playable with the cartridge/disc without some major updates/fixes you have to download, so most modern physical games you purchase aren't complete or are broken anyway without the internet. I have a feeling there's a small chance this system might crash and burn for a plethora of other reasons like high MSRP on games and accessories, a weak launch lineup of games, and Nintendo shenanigans of artificial scarcity which are exacerbated by the scalper market. I totally get why many aren't day one purchasers and waiting for console feedback from people playing and/or until a price drop to buy. Nintendo is going really aggressive with all their promotion, marketing, and launch events...we'll see if it works out to be a success or not in time.

You are correct; only some games are being sold as game-key cartridge. The rest of the statement about needing the internet to download it still stands. It's more of a hassle to deal with that. Thank you for the information.
