if you live near lidl, they have all varieties of 16oz peanuts $2 this week;
no salt, low salt, regular salt, honey
if you live near a major chinese market you can find raw peanuts $1.34/lbs
brine them a few hours in salt water, then air fry roast them yourself.
btw, to ny it seems amazon is charging sugar or sales tax they should not.

For some reason on this product I am being charged the incorrect sales tax rate. Not a big deal, but Amazon has something wrong in their system

Wrong. Check CCC and you'll see it actually IS a sale, regardless how you checkout. It's obviously cheapER via S&S...which is something I personally default to if I don't need the product ASAP.

Same is happening when I try to check out. I thought there wasn't sales tax on food items.

Did you mean Aldi? Their peanuts used to be under $2 but are now more and while they're what I get because Planters run $3.50 at Kroger, Planters are better. Bought 4 from A'zon. Too bad I'd just put in another order and thus don't get same-day shipping on them.

lidl, but i live near both and they seem to hand off sales to each other, so maybe also soon too.
