What does it offer... 12.4" WQXGA 90Hz IPS, 8GB, 128GB, w/ S-Pen what is being kept quite is the CPU that runs this tablet. It is made by Sammy and is the Exynos 1380 processor.
Now lets put things in perspective. The snapdragon 6 Gen 1 is considered IDENTICAL in SPEED to the Exynos 1380.
Now, I got my Iplay60 Mini Turbo for $128 before the Trump tariffs about eight months ago. It also has 8GB of RAM and 128GB AND has the Snap Dragon 6 Gen 1 CPU PLUS it has USB-C 3.1 (so you have USB-C to HDMI out). It now costs $165 on Ali.
I will use the new Tariff price of $165 for the iplay60 mini turbo. NOW IS THE QUESTION... is $215 (the additional cost for the Samsung) worth a larger screen and the S-Pen and upgrades. And I say... HELL NO!!!
I will now criticize Samsung.... First of all before I start let me say the FE (Fan Edition) is suppose to offer a flag ship CPU (or something close) with no frills and this is NOT WHAT WE GOT. Based on all my research, in 2025, the NEW LOW END CPU for tablets is the Snap Dragon 6 Gen 1 or the Exynos 1380 or the Dimensity 7050 (about 4% slower)... THAT MEANS SAMSUNG is advertising there last generation FE models as a decent tablet when in fact it is just the new low end tablet of 2025. I feel Samsung is milking the consumer.
Like how can I compare a CHEAP CHEAP tablet to this one?
They are the same speed, same RAM, same HD... but the CHEAP one has USB-C 3.1(HDMI out via USB-C) and yes... it means... just like I posted before....
THE QUESTION is if the $215 (the additional cost for the Samsung) is worth a larger screen and the S-Pen and upgrades. And I still say NO.
So I had the Tab S8+ and felt is was just way too big. So I sold it and purchased the Tab S9, thinking 11" is the perfect size. But I now realize I like the smaller tablets (sub 9"). I tend to use my tablet when I am watching a movie in bed. And I also own the iplay60 mini turbo which is made by a known Chinese brand. And yes, I tend to use my iplay60 mini the most.
I am actually wanting to buy this new tablet coming out in a few days.... https://9to5google.com/2025/06/07...ne-launch/
S10 fe has come out and the specs on this model suck.
Sure, it's not the plus model, but the CPU is in a league of its own. Why would anyone buy this when you can get the non FE for a little bit more? You find some good laptop deals, but this is not it for tablets.

Not really. You missed the deal with the S9 which has an 8 Gen 2 for around the same price. You could argue that the iplay60 is a better value, but the better processor, upgraded build, OLED screen, and s pen make the regular model worth it for me.
