TSA friendly backpack is when it has a comparment with zippers going both ways from top to bottom (almost complete circle) so they can lay it flat and feed through the conveyor belt again.

I get what you're saying but they still say to take the laptops out the bag. I've never used the lay flat feature. I did get searched one time, maybe if I had it flat they wouldn't need to search?

The scale of the laptop in the picture is wrong. If the backpack is 13" across the bottom, then a 11" diagonal laptop wouldn't take up so much space. This backpack fits a 17" laptop.
