That $1196 at Sam's was an amazing deal w 5 year warranty, unfortunately I didn't need a TV then, but do now as of last night... Thanks kids!

In theaters, IMAX is 75 nits and Dolby Cinema is 108. Ambient brightness is everything. In a bright room, just get a Mini-LED. In a dark room with a reasonable budget, OLED is far better.

Also, I think some Samsung OLEDs have a matte coating which helps a little with bright rooms.

I wish someone would price match this...I hate shipping TV's, nothing but a hassle if there's a problem with it.

Also is the Sam's Club Deal for $100 more worth it over this with the 5 year extended warranty it provides?
Not in my opinion. Plus free wall mount and headphones on this deal too.

Just checking, how good are oleds these days, such as the TV on this post? I got the flagship sony lcd tv (65 inch, x95j) in 2022 and think it's excellent (and way better than dim oled screens).

Are the oleds still dim?

EDIT: looks like they are - just checked the "SDR Brightness" category for this lg c4 tv on rting website, and it's about 400 nits. Lol, that's going to put people to sleep; there is no punch, bright room or not.

Wow, I've been waiting forever on a C4. I didn't realize I could get the EPP pricing through my work email until today.

my citi double cash has 3% back from LG (not sure if it applies to partner store) and now the card has the 2 year extended warranty.... also cap 1 shopping app shows 12% back for me... very very tempting...
edit: so the 20% was for regular LG store, I had another offer for the partner store and it's at 12%...
Thanks, I didn't realize that added warranty extension to the card again. That's great news.

Ordered one. Does anyone have experience ordering directly from the manufacturer like this? Costco and Bestbuy didn't price match.

I have a C1 and the brightness is fine so I imagine the C4 will be even better. OLED have been better than LCD panels for years, you're missing out. Once you get one you'll understand, once you go OLED you never go back.
