I've never had the stuff but I worked with a guy that drank it all the time. I asked him what it tasted like. "Water." He never could give a good explanation why it was any different than buying cheaper water or a sports drink. Or just filling up a water bottle for that matter. I have noticed a suspicious amount of product placement in bro centric YouTube videos though.

These aren't bad. We got the 72 pack for $30 from meh in a previous deal. If you compare them to something like LMNT these have way less electrolytes.

I don't mind these, taste a lot better than liquid IV IMO. Also, Liquid Death iced tea are really really good.

The problem with a lot of hydration products is that they contain a huge amount of electrolytes...and that's fine, if you're an athlete, because your body needs them, because you're sweating them out and they need to be replaced. But alot of people who drink these AREN'T athletes and they drink them sitting at a desk or playing video games and don't need anywhere near as near as much, and consuming that many electrolytes can actually be bad for you.

I think these are fairly mediocre in taste, but are tolerable at a good price

Just carbonated or flat water with fruit essence, they also have teas.

it's not some kind of mystery, it's flavored water without artificial sweeteners like sucralose

think La Croix or Polar seltzer water except with less carbonation and terrible tasting flavors

these drinks are marketed for people who dont want to drink but want to "fit in" by carrying a can around a party/event

these drinks also are marketed to people who want to look cool drinking water/sparkling water

their sparkling water is extra bitter without extra carbonation and their flavors that i have tried (at least 3-4) have been so nasty i wouldnt take a can for free.

to add insult to injury this has about 10% of the electrolytes a shit drink like Propel does

All of the sparkling waters taste a bit different to me, similar to the bottled waters of various brands. I can taste a difference between bubly, la Croix, liquid death and others.. I used to prefer bubly but find Liquid Death to be my favorite, specifically the older "from the alps" version in the black can.
The flavored ones, I'm not huge on. They taste more like watered down or flat versions of soda to me.

A lot of it is the marketing aspect which sells them. They look like a beer, they're "cool" And edgy, and the image helps sell it more than a bottle of regular water or a can of sparkling water from other brands. It sells as a "premium" which isn't really deserved, but its also sold heavily at discount retailers like Ross and Burlington for about $9/case (verses about $4-5 for a smaller case/can size of bubly or LaCroix)

I really don't care for sparkling water at all, but I have been getting the flat water and tea drinks from Liquid Death for a couple years. I just like being able to grab them from the fridge and having a cold water or tea on the go some days.

Idk, it's more refreshing drinking water/tea from a cold can than a cold plastic bottle. Just a preference thing.
