Of note, I have one of these (36w) and got a Switch 2. This does NOT work as a display device for the Switch 2 (only charges).

I tested and 65 watt does not appear to work with the Switch 2 either.

The switch 2 is very sensitive to 3rd party accessories and doesn't work with the various usbc to hdmi converters & can't use the old charger because it doesn't output 45W.

I would either just buy a second dock for traveling or wait until something gets made rather than wasting time with old switch accessories

I believe the Switch 2 needs a 20V input for the video out to work. If I remember correctly the Switch 1 needed 15V. It'll take time for third party manufacturers to come up with docks, but they'll definitely be here soon enough. The market will be flooded with options by end of this year. Of course there is a possibility that the switch 2 checks for the presence of the original dock and specifically blocks output for anything else, but I doubt that's the case. Even in that case, I'm sure the current dock will be reverse engineered to spoof the console into thinking it's connected to the original one. The only way for Nintendo to stay ahead would be to enforce regular firmware upgrades on the dock. Doubt even Nintendo is that crazy.

So just hang in there and don't waste money on a $120 original dock!

These do not work with the CRKD deck; at least not the first one. Be warned, you'll have to go back to those crappy stock joycons!

I got the White 65W version of this for $19.99. First of all, device doesn't come with HDMI cable. So, I had to look around to find a spare HDMI cable. After I did all that, when I connected my switch OLED to this device, it just projected the screen to the TV and started switch device started charging. But the joystick controls don't work no matter what I did, even like replacing with a different HDMI.

Also, I found that if I replaced the supplied USB-C cable with a different one (like the ones I have for Macbook and iPad) it doesn't work with this device. I would suggest keep the supplied cable safe because I suspect once that cable is damaged or wears out, this device won't work either. Later I saw couple of other Amazon reviews mentioning the same.
