If I remember correctly, there are two different encoding strengths for magstripes. Low coercivity (dark brown magstripe) and high coercivity (dark black magstripe). Low coercivity is encoded via a weaker magnetic field strength and is more easily corrupted (cheap 1 use cards). High coercivity is encoded via a stronger magnetic field strength and is more resistant to external corruption (credit/debit cards).

I bought this in the coffee color a few months ago for 7.99 and absolutely love it. It's a nice sturdy leather and the magnetic money clip is really strong. I can easily fold 15-20 bills in it without having the worry about any falling out.

FWIW I've never had problems with credit cards, but I have a wallet with a magnetic money clip (not this brand) that kills hotel key cards constantly.

This. Also if you happen to put your money away and the clip catches your pocket just right, the money falls out. Happened to me, I was stupid and blame myself.

Either way, I love slim wallets like this for front pocket carry, but I don't like magnetic clips. Also, who named this brand? Did they use the Wu-Tang rap name generator?

I used to be really big on the minimalist/ slim wallets even bought many dyno mighty wallets but I realized now that all I really need is a wallet where my money would stay nice and crispy and a coin pocket and bought a leather wallet with a coin purse inside and I love it feels a lot more secure

If you missed it, you are not out much. While it appears to be decent quality, it is about 25% taller than my present wallet (Chums Bandit bifold). It is not much thinner empty than my wallet is with 6 cards and a license. Definitely smaller than the average wallet but large for a minimalist wallet.

if you carry a phone with an NFC chip (most recent model smartphones do) you may want to consider putting a credit card on some cash app, then using your phone to pay for stuff and leaving all those cards at home. credit card issuers prefer you do this because it adds another layer of security for both you and the card bank. once you get used to using a cash app, you may not need atm cards either as you will have less use for cash.
