About these Shoes:
  • The Boston Marathon is a race. But it's also a goal, and a training plan and all the days it stays on your mind before the big one. The Adizero Boston 12 Shoes are built for mid- to long-distance running. They bring a race-day feel to training with a propulsive feel that comes from the glass-fiber infused ENERGYRODS 2.0, which limit energy loss underfoot. They're fast, but that does not come at the cost of durability - the midsole layers ultra-light LIGHTSTRIKE PRO cushioning with a new version of durable LIGHTSTRIKE 2.0 EVA.
  • Continental Rubber outsole

That's what I've read. The consensus opinion on reddit is that the B12 is firmer and stiffer than most (if not all) daily trainers and this is cited as negative. Runners have even returned the shoe refunds due to the unyielding midsole.

Runrepeat's lab tests confirm that the EVA layer under the ceramic rods is very firm at 24.0 HA. By comparison the Novablast 5 is 13.0 HA and the Fuelcell Rebel V4 is a super squishy 6.5 HA. The Mach 6, considered a "firm" shoe is 20 HA, notably softer than the B12.

Damn, well priced. Run, don't walk... buy a few pairs if you're training.

Why is it on ebay and not the official adidas website? Just curious why they split it up

I purchased these from adidas.com last time and experienced heel slippage with them—something I've never encountered with any other shoes. Even using a runner's knot didn't solve the issue.

I run in Saucony triumph 20/21. So you think less cushioned shoes would be better for my knees?

Great deal. Also, the Capital One Shopping extension found a coupon for me that saved me another $17 off the 2 pairs I bought, so you might want to try that as well. It was $102 total for me after taxes.

Were there reviews when you bought it? B12s aren't true to size, so a half size down is recommended usually according to run repeat and reddit.

Not sure what "moon bounce" shoes are, these are considered slightly firm relative to the SL2s but very decent. What is actually unhealthy is wearing out your knees with shoes that don't provide adequate cushioning.

How do these compare to Ultraboost 5x?
