Good light, casts a solid flood, doesn't get used nearly as often as my DCL050 though

IMO this is a spot beam. I had to add a frosted coating to make it flood. The switch broke with light use and I tossed it. 110 lumens in 2025 tells me it's the same original light that desperately needs an update

I agree the dcl040 has so much battery and so little lumens the other dewalt dcl050 light on a different slick deals through woot is much better

Agree, that light is good if you need a single spot lit up, but the 050 is at least 4x more usable and worth 2x the cost easy. Probably my most used DeWalt tool.

Own this and the dcl050... they each have their place. As a general use flashlight this is great and it's ok in a pinch for a worklight. But for crawling under the car type shiz the dcl050 is wayyy better. Side by side it is very obviously flashlight vs floodlight.

Pretty sure coupon code flashfive can only be used once per account. I bought the DCL050 earlier and tried to use the same code for the DCL040 and it wouldn't go through.

Same here. Own both. The Dcl050 is dimensions better and my #1 used flashlight.
