I will assume the thumbs down is because it's the 8GB version, which is not getting great reviews versus the higher GDDR version…..

Eve at $300 I would not recommend this card solely because it only has 8GB of VRAM. $350 should get you a 16GB version if you are patient. Hardware Unboxed just released a video showing how much were the 8GB card is if you have a PCIe 3.0 or even 4.0 motherboard compared to the new 5.0 standard. If you have even a slightly older motherboard you will get far worse performance than reviews have shown. Watch this video and I think it's all you need to know. Don't buy this card.

The 8 gig sucks. the 16 gig though, that version is quite nice. Even without frame generation i was getting ~60 FPS with the black myth wukong benchmark at 1440 ultrawide.

Got it for $349 from newegg, super nice card for the money.
