At least this was the only component I feel like I "overpaid" for so far. lol
When fulfilled by a rando 3rd party seller you are out of luck on warranty.
Better off getting an Open box that gives you the remainder of the warranty time the original purchase already started the clock on.
Chances are this was already an Amazon return anyway.
edit: I ended up grabbing the WD Black 4TB for $150 a little over a month ago (was really lucky, super slick).

Wow! That's a great deal for a 4TB NVMe! How's the performance of the WD Black compare to the 990 Pro?

You can use the search function and you'll find all of the recent sales FYI instead of asking. My plans to build a computer fell through due to RAM prices so I'm going to hold onto the WD black nvme ssd until next Spring/Summer or later. I cancelled the Walmart 5070 TI+9800X3D CyberpowerPC after getting it down to $1620 or something, I don't really need a PC right now and am willing to wait up to another year or more (eventually consumer RAM prices will come down and even if they never do my PC is fine for many more years).
